11 Years ago the source of Hans Bakker’s music started flowing. Among his compositions are more than 50 works for chamber music, 15 for choral music, 5 for orchestral music and 6 for carillon. For an overview of his works see the links section below.
After Hans Bakker had finished his studies piano, organ and choir conducting in Utrecht (1968) he took up the profession of piano teacher at a music school (Hilversum). This was followed by the study of Sanskrit (University of Amsterdam).
After his graduation he was also active in improvised music and as choral conductor.
Currently Hans Bakker plays cello in the Naardens Chamber Orchestra and in a string quartet and piano trio. However teaching remains up till now a principal activity.
