Her music has a strong baroque sound (minuets, symphonies) but also romantic (piano sonatas, nocturnes and Viennese waltzes).
Marzia Gaggioli is an Italian classical music composer and singer-songwriter. She was born in Rome the 8th of March 1985.
Her love for music starts when she was a child. At age of six years, she already played the piano by ear and composed her own songs, but she didn't study music.
When she was 14, she became a "SIAE" member (Italian Copyright Society for Composers/Authors) passing music exams and getting qualifications as "music composer" and "lyrics author".
She composes different kinds of music:
Classical Music:
Sonatas, symphonies, concertos, minuets and rondos, nocturnes and serenades, marches, waltzes and Sacred Music.
Modern Music:
She composes, arranges, plays, sings her songs in more than 20 different languages and different sounds: pop, rock, rap, hip-hop, dance music, Jazz and more. She also composes movie soundtracks and folk music.
Musical Works:
Until now, she has composed more than 1300 pieces of music (between classical music and songs) and recorded more than 40 Albums.
Played instruments:
Piano (and keyboards), drums kit, violin, saxophone and guitar.
Performances and competitions:
In 2003 she took part at "Castrocaro Competition" (one of the most popular competitions for singer-song writers in her Country) and made it through the semi finals. She also took part at "minor music competitions" and during the same period she performed as singer and drummer in many night clubs and discos in her city. She performed live and was guest on many national and local TV transmissions. In 2009, she started working on the web, editing/ producing her own videoclips, and her music is now played by many Artists, radios and televisions all over the world.
In 2012 one of her song written in Polish "Jestem Tutaj" got more than 2,5 millions views and became a big Hit in Poland getting the firsts positions in the national music chart for several weeks. Actually she is quite popular in Poland; the main magazines, TV stations and radios write/ talk about her music and a Wikipedia page was created for her. She is busy at recording new pop songs for her fans.
Other:
Marzia has also others passions: she loves drawing (comics with stories and characters created by her) and painting, shooting and editing videos, creating costumes, writing poems and fantasy adventure stories.
