His music is represented in most generes: symphonic, song, solo, chamber
concertos for soloist and orchestra, operas, ballets, music for cinema.
His style has evolved greatly over the years starting under a heavy influence
of the ‘six’ from Paris and Ravel passing through a great interest in the music
brought back to Spain by people who immigrated and traveled to the Carribiean
and to South America, through serial and atonal. Internationally known for the
Cinco Canciones Negras (Five Black Songs) and the Sonatina pour Yvette. He
has composed over 150 works.
