Ljuba Moiz is considered one of the most interesting personalities on the international music and art scene for the creative force and poetic rendering of her interpretations. Of Russian-Hungarian descent, she was born in Genoa, and trained in the most important European Music Institutions, studying Piano, Composition, Orchestral and Choral Conducting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Musichochsshule Lübeck, and the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. She owes her musical improvement to Masters such as György Sándor, friend and only student of Béla Bartók, with whom she undertook a ten-year and particular study of piano technique understood as movement, sound and expression, and Aloys Kontarsky to whom she owes in particular the improvement of the works of Janacek and Messiaen. Appreciated by artists such as Murray Perahia, Radu Lupu, Richard Goode and András Schiff, she has received precious advice and encouragement.
She is currently the Artistic Director of the Stephen Heller Cultural Association "Art de Phraser" founded by her, which aims to be an International Centre of Performing Arts for the valorisation and rediscovery of music and artists of the past whose interpretative style is strictly connected to the search for expressiveness and musical breath: among these, the figure of the great Polish pianist Mieczyslav Horszowski stands out.
