Biography: 

Jaromir Weinberger studied at the conservatoires of Prague and Leipzig. From 1922 to 1926 he was professor of composition at Ithaca conservatory. Weinberger fled Czechoslavakia in 1939 (he was Jewish), and settled in New York State.

Later he moved to St. Petersburg, Miami, where, because of financial and health problems, as well as a lack of interest in his music, he took a massive overdose and died.
