The Robert Schumann Prize 2017, which is awarded by the German city of Zwickau (where Schumann was born), goes to composer, oboist and conductor Heinz Holliger.

Holliger will receive the prize, worth €10.000, on 17 January 2017. Zwickau awards the biannual Schumann Prize to musicians who promote the work of Robert Schumann
