The horn virtuoso and composer Jan Václav Stich (alias Jan Wenzel Stich or Giovanni Punto) was born in the earlier Thun-Hohenstein castle; the later castle, now a school, holds memories of him in the entrance hall — in the village Stich-Punto festivals are organised.
