Andrea Gabrieli is the uncle of composer Giovanni Gabrieli.
- He was born ca. 1533 in Venice (Italian spelling is Venezia); he did not pass all of his life in Venice; he was in Germany for quite some time, and returned to Italy in 1566.
- He became organist in the Basilica Ducale di San Marco (the main and biggest church of Venice) in 1566, succeeding Annibale Padovano.
- He died in 1586 in Venice.
His works are mainly instrumental, and included among the others Toccate, Recercari, Canzoni alla francese, and the beautiful and sweetest Intonazioni d’organo.

My thoughts the same
I had a choice of a dozen composers and I picked this gentleman solely on the assumption that I had actually chosen a women.
The keyboard stuff is nice.
