Ghiselin published in 1503 a volume of (parody) Masses (based on chansons by such composers as Alexander Agricola and Johannes Ockeghem); his motets occur in anthologies. His style has features in common with that of Jacob Obrecht.
Recording:
An instrumental version of his Motet “Favus distillans” (in 3 parts) is performed on “Ottaviano Dei Petrucci — Harmonice Musices Odhecaton” by Fretwork (viols) for the label Harmonia Mundi, n° HMU 907291.
This (Franco?-)Flemish composer worked as a singer in Florence in 1492–3, then at the Ferrara court until at least 1503 (and may have been responsible for Josquin’s going there) and in 1508 was a singer in Bergen op Zoom (in the Habsburg duchy of Brabant).
