The city of Hamburg, Germany, has awarded South-Korean composer Unsuk Chin with the 2019 Bach Prize. She wins the €10000 award for her unique contribution to contemporary music and artistic creation.

Australian composer Samuel Penderbayne, who is based in Hamburg, Germany, has won a scholarship from the city.
