The BMI Icon Award for outstanding career achievement will be presented next month to Oscar winning composer Alexandre Desplat.The award is given to composers who have made significant contributions in the realm of film and television music.

Desplat will receive the award on May 13, 2015, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA, at the 2015 BMI Film & Television Awards.
