Romeo Dionisi was a child prodigy. He ran away from his father, who exploited him and his eleven years younger sister, Giulietta (who became a famous violinist in Brazil, a real genius). Their mother was dead and they did not like their stepmother, who mistreated them. Romeo ended his days in Pernambuco, Brazil, where he taught music and used to compose great songs. He was a director for a musical Institute in Recife, where he died in June 1911. [information provided by Maria Lúcia Lopes da Silva]
