The American Academy of Arts and Letters, established in 1898, has announced that composers Aaron Jay Kernis and Martin Boykan elected to membership in the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

The annual induction and award ceremony of the Academy will be held in mid-May. Kernis and Boykan are the two composers among the 10 people to become new members this year.
