Yalil Guerra nominated for Latin Grammy Awards

The Cuban American composer and producer, Yalil Guerra has been nominated for the 11th annual Latin Grammy Awards in the category Best Classical Album for his album “Old Havana”. This is the first nomination for the composer. The 11th annual Latin Grammy Awards nominations were announced on 9 September live from Los Angeles, CA.

“I just heard the news of my nomination for the Latin Grammys, and needless to say, this is a great news for me! I am very thankful to the Recording Academy, and to all whom participated in the production of this recording”.

This year, Guerra was the runner up in the Cintas Foundation and the Brandon Fradd Fellowship in Music Composition. Currently, Guerra’s is producing his second Chamber Music Album Vol. II, as well as working on other productions at his recording facility in Burbank, California.

The 11th Annual Latin Recording Awards will be broadcasted live on the Univision Network from the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas on Nov. 11, 2010.
