It is now seems clear that we will probably never know whether the skull that was said to be Mozart's is real. A DNA sample of the skull was compared to samples of bones from his grandmother Euphrosina Pertl and his niece Jeanette Berchtold zu Sonnenburg. However, none of these samples appeared to be related! Because of the unclear history of the skull, which is said to be the one of the famous composer, experts tend to believe that it is very likely not authentic.
