The 2018 Azrieli Prize for Jewish Music has been awarded to Avner Dorman. This was announced by the Azrieli Foundation.

Composer Avner Dorman wins the biannual $50,000 cash prize for his composition Nigunim for Violin and Orchestra. The ward goes to a composer who has written the best new major work of Jewish Music. The composition will also be premiered at a gala performance, and a professional recording will be made.
