French composer Patrick Burgan has receieved the Prix Musique "Déodat de Séverac" of the Académie du Languedoc.

He recieved the prize on 26 May in Toulouse at the annual gathering of the Académie for his composition "1213-Bataille de Muret", which is based on a history in the Languedoc language.
