German composer Moritz Eggert will receive this year's Louis Spohr Prize. The prize, which is rewarded by the German city of Braunschweig every three yearseggert, is a sum of €10,000.

Eggert will receive the prize during a concert in the Stadthalle in Braunschweig on 26 October 2016.
