Korean composition prize to Andys Skordis
The Cypriot composer Andys Skordis has won the first prize at the International Composition competition for piano quintet 2015. The competition took place in Gwangiu, South Korea.
The prize was awarded by ISCM Korea and Asia Cultural Centre during the festival Symphony for Asia. Skordis's winning piece was called ‘17…why not 37?’. He received the first prize along with Tak Cheung Hui from Hong Kong.
