Huck Hodge wins $200,000 prize

The American Academy of Arts and Letters has awarded composer Huck Hodge with this year's Charles Ives Living award. The $200,000 prize will enable the composer to work on his compositions over a two-year period.

Academy President Yehudi Wyner praised Hodge creating "gorgeous, lyrical soundscapes " and being a "brilliant colorist."
