The French composer and teacher Michel Corette was organist at the Jesuit College, Paris from 1738, and various other places. He composed church and organ music, but also ballets, secular vocal and keyboard music.
Corette also published several books on performance practice: for violin, harpsichord, guitar, cello, harp, and flute.
