Giulio Caccini was an Italian singer and composer. Prominent artist in opera and song, in the so-called Stile Representativo. Performed in palaces and houses of the many Florentine artists. Jacopo Peri’s opera Euridice contained some songs by Caccini, who later renewed this opera, which became famous in their last version. Caccini’s Nuove Musiche (1602) is a famous compilation.
