Memli Kelmendi was born in Pejë in 1986. He finished his elementary and high school in Pejë. Since his childhood he was excelled in the music field: winner of the kid’s festival Peja 99 ;Winner of the youth festival Peja 2000. After different compositions that he did at his private studio he’s had a big success with different singers of different genres. He composed a lot of kid’s songs and many times he was awarded with the first places like in “Lyra Fest” etc. Then he participated in many different festivals and among them he is a regular participant of the old city’s song festival “Zambaku I Prizrenit”.

Without a doubt that the first steps and the biggest push he was given by his dad Xhevat Kelmendi- a well-known Pejan singer (cantus-author). Successfully graduated in the Music Academy – General Department in Prishtinë (2010).. While his postgraduate studies-Master Degree did in Skopje on Music Production/Sound Engineering in the class of prof,Valentino Skenderovski.

During his studies he learned the Film Music in the class of prof. Darko Marinovski where he was excelled as the most zealous student. He has composed various musical works like: Film Music, Theater Music, TV etc. He was presented many times in different festivals as a composer of electronic music. In the international festival Remusica 2009 he was presented with his electronic work “Another Noise” (Flute and Electronic). In 2010 in Ohrid in the electro acoustic festival he was presented with “OhridSomnia”, In 2011 in the festival “Flute Sounds”, also in the city theater of Peja within the nights “Pejan Cultural Days”, international festival “Remusica 2013” and in many other places as a composer and conductor.

Memli in his work has some other electronic music work like: “Passage through the Life”, “True-s”, “M2”, “Silent Dream”, “Another Noise”, "M2", "SePse: (Choir, electronic and orchestra) etc. Memli is a music composer for film and theater.

In 2008, he also composed, edited and mixed the music of the short feature film "Anarchy" which was successfully presented in some film festivals outside the country. In 2011 he composed the music of a short feature German documentary film “Secret Of The Universe” where it was successfully presented in Skopje and was rated good by the critics. In 2011 he also composed the music of the short feature film “Windows XP”. In 2011 he composed the music of the Albanian short feature film “Basement (Bodrumi)”. In 2012 composed the music of the short feature film "3 Ngjyra, Homazh per Kieslowskin" directed by Gent Begolli and for the moment he is working on the music of the short feature film “Era” by Besim Ugzmajli.

In 2010 composed the music for a theatrical play “STOP”, while in 2011 he composed the music for the play “Vëlla, Vëlla, Kosi me $” directed by Ahmet Jakupi. In 2013 he composed the music for the play "Oh Karmella" directed by Ekrem Sopi, for the play "Obelisku pa adresë" directed by Halil Gasht, in the play "Pushkatimi" by Ekrem Kryeziu (did musical montage), and recently he composed the music for the theatrical play "Nata e Helverit" directed by Ben Apolloni.

In 2008 he was editor in chief of a local TV station in Pejë “Pro-Tv”, where he did other work too like Editing, Graphics and Producer. Apart Audio Production , Memli has a Video Production "Night Sound Records - Production", where until now he has realized many private video clips

He is also a member and a co-operator of many studios in F.Y.R.O. Macedonia and the region. It’s worth mentioning his successful compositions which have been performed in the famous electronic music festival of Ohrid (Ohrid Summer festival). In Memli’s creative opus without a doubt children songs are part of it where many times he was awarded with the first place.

For the moment he is working in the High School “Halit Kasapolli” where he teaches many subjects like: Choir, Music in Technology, Musical literature knowledge, Piano Obbligato and Reading Scores, he is also the leader of the school orchestra. As a leader and a conductor of the school choir he was presented in many media realizing many various musical works of Albanian and foreign composers. It’s worth mentioning the concert with the choir and orchestra of the high school "Halit Kasapolli" in catholic church "Shën Katarina" in Pejë, where Memli conducted 16 musical works of Albanian and foreign composers. This concert had a very successful presentation. With the same success thi concert was re-presented in Prizren in honor of "Dashnor Xërxës" and recently in the international classical music festival “ReMusica 2013". Memli is also founder of Electroacoustic Music Festival “Siparantum”. He is a member and a composer of the City Orchestra of Peja (which was established in 2013).
