Gómez-Martínez 'Doctor honoris causa' in Madrid
On Tuesday 29 January the "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" in Spain will give Spanish conductor and composer Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez a honorary doctorate.
Gómez-Martínez is currently the conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica RTVE. He is known for conducting without the need of a score.At 7 years old he conducted his first public concert. He became a piano teacher at 13, graduated as composer at 17 and as conductor at 21. During his life he conducted approximately 3000 concerts.
