The Ernst von Siemens Musikpreis (Music Prize) for this year goes to British composer and conductor George Benjamin. The jury sees him as one of the most important composers who have determines the shape of new music.
On 26 May Benjamin will receive an amount of €250000 during a ceremony in Munich, Germany.
