How can you update this website?
Before you add new content, please first carefully check if it does not yet exist on the website. I will delete duplicate composer or composition entries! You may want to edit existing content. If you do not have permission to edit the content you want, then please let me know via the contact form.
If you are a composer yourself, do not add your information on this account page, but on your own composer page. If it does not already exist on this site (check first!), you can create your own composer page here: Add a composer to the website. From your composer page you can then also start adding your compositions.
If you want to be able to edit any composer or composition page on this site, then please let me know, explaining me why you are the right person for this (contact form).

Christopher J. Hoh Composer Bio
Christopher J. Hoh hails from Pennsylvania and the Washington, D.C. area. He has
participated in workshops with Jean Berger, Daniel Moe, Robert Page, Mack Wilberg
and Alice Parker, who chose him as a conducting fellow in 2015.
Chris’s current commissions include a holiday piece for SATB & piano for the 700-
member Encore Chorales; two American folksong settings for Alexandria, VA middle
school choruses & piano; and a motet for a church on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
The Stuttgart German-American chorus called on him to write an extended setting of
the O Antiphons for choir & organ, premiering in 2014.
California's Meistersingers requested new work from him: Shakespeare's "My Mistress'
Eyes" for SATB a cappella (2014) and an SSATBB of the 16th-Century carol “Ein Kind
Geborn In Bethlehem” (2013). His six-part “Angele Dei” was reprised and taken on tour
by the William & Mary College choir in 2014-15. Recent years have seen premieres of
Chris Hoh’s work in Colorado, Massachusetts, and West Virginia, as well as Austria and
Spain. His work has been published by Augsburg Fortress Press and Art of Sound Music.
His work has been included on ERM Media’s “Made in the Americas” CD in 2008 and the
forthcoming CD “Undiscovered Choral Gems” from Phoenix Classical. Chris Hoh
graduated from Georgetown University in international affairs and served in the U.S.
Foreign Service for over 30 years. He is currently a Senior Adviser at the Department of
State. Scores, audio and information about Chris Hoh’s compositions may be found on
