The Hridaynath Mangeshkar Award, named after renowned Indian composer Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, was given to A.R. Rahman on 26 October. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, who became 78 years old, commented that Rahman has made the country proud with his outstanding contribution to music.
