After a serious disease famous avant garde composer György Sándor Ligeti has died in Vienna. He was 83 years old. The Hungarian born composer was known to the wide public because his music was used in Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Oddysey", "The Shining" and "Eyes Wide Shut".
