"Ye Gods!".

Antiphon, the Hexham-based chamber choir conducted by John Roper, presents music celebrating wine, women and war, and the gods Bacchus, Venus and Mars! Includes music by Purcell, Pearsall, Morley and Monteverdi, and the spectacular “La Guerre” by Clement Janequin.
The grounds and castle will be open from 6.15pm for picnics. Music will be performed in various locations in the castle and grounds (all indoors if it rains). Bring your own picnics and chairs (the castle has no audience seating). Please be aware that some parts of the site are accessible only via stairs and uneven surfaces.
