Ensemble 212 opens its 2012-13 season with an evening of Russian and American music. Come hear Ensemble 212 perform Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with the dazzling Russian pianist Ilya Yakushev and the New York premiere of Composer in Residence Daniel Felsenfeld's orchestral work "Insomnia Redux; 4 AM". The program also includes rarely heard excerpts from Tchaikovksy's opera Pique Dame (The Queen of Spades) and music from Moussorgsky's towering masterpiece Boris Godounov in a new symphonic suite compiled by Yoon Jae Lee. The concert will be conducted under the joint batons of Artistic Director Yoon Jae Lee and newly appointed Principal Associate Conductor Kyunghun Kim.
