Ensemble 212: 5th Annual Gala Concert & Fundraising Event
Ensemble 212 performs its 5th Annual Gala Concert featuring the World Premiere of Composer in Residence Daniel Felsenfeld's Busmeat, A Parable for Orchestra depicting a dream in which the composer is evading a bus driven by Arnold Schoenberg trying to run him down, the New York premiere of Fairouz's Akhnaten with cellist Nicholas Canellakis. Grand Prize Winner of the 2012-13 Young Artist Competition Noah Lee & 2nd Prize Winner Yun Han will perform Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto. The orchestra led by conductors Yoon Jae Lee & Kyunghun Kim will open the concert with Beethoven's Egmont Overture and conclude with a movement from Mendelssohn's symphonic cantata "Lobgesang."
A silent auction featuring unique artwork by local artists will be held in the lobby.
