Two of his works are: Sports Suites and Dance of the Mermaid.
As an external student, completed work in violin at Petrograd Conservatory in 1915. Took composition lessons from Rudolph Ivanovich Mervol’f [Merwolf], 1925-26, and from Glazunov in 1927-28. Played violin professionally. Composed in a variety of genres.
