No less than three Grammys, for Best Classical Album, Best Classical Contemporary Composition and Best Choral Performance, were won by William Bolcom's “Songs of Innocence and of Experience”. The composition, a cantata, took him 25 years to write. It is based on poems by Willian Blake. The piece was recorded in April 2004, and released by Naxos.
