After 5 Grammy nominations, with no wins, Italian Composer Ennio Morricone has now finally received his Oscar. On 25th February he will receive a honorary Oscar for his "magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music."
In his carreer Morricone has composed over 500 TV and film score. Some famous film titles are: "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966), "Once Upon a Time in the West" (1968), "The Mission" (1986), "The Untouchables" (1987), "Cinema Paradiso" (1988), and Lolita (1997).
