Composer alphabet

Dear [simplenews-subscriber:user:field-real-name] ([simplenews-subscriber:user:name]),

I have introduced two new features on Musicalics.com:

Alphabetical list of composers

There are several ways to search for a composer on my site, but an alphabetical list was still missing till now. Such a list is now available: see http://musicalics.com/composers_alphabet.

I created this on request of a visitor who convinced me that it was useful addition. I hope you will also find it useful.

Recently deceased composers

Another list I created is one with recently deceased composers. If you think I missed any names on the list, please let me know, and I will add them.

You can find the list on the home page of Musicalics.com.

Anyone can help?

Some of the reactions I receive suggest that quite some people think that a team of people is working on Musicalics.com. However, there is actually just one person here! I am responsible for keeping the site up and running. That may also explain why sometimes, unfortunately, you do not receive any prompt replies, or even no reply at all.

It would be possible to speed up the development of Musicalics if some of you would volunteer to take over some simple tasks. I am thinking about completing composer data (birth an death dates and places), adding biographical information, translating content, adding missing compositions. Let me know if you think you can help. I will then give you permission to do that.

Other support

There is another way in which you can support my work; this is by ordering sheet music, CDs or other products via the affiliate links on Musicalics. That would allow me to spend more time on improving the site.

Simplest an cheapest way to help is by telling your friends about it, and by creating links to Musicalics.com from your website (if you have one).

Adding concert announcements

Remember: you can add your concert announcements to the website. This is a free service for all members of Musicalics. You can read more about it in a previous newsletter.
