The handwritten manuscript of Malcolm Arnold's seventh symphony was found back by his daughter Katherine. She had been searching for the original score for many years, and has now found it back on eBay, where it was offered for sale.

The symphony (written in 1973) was dedicated to Katherine and her two younger brothers. It was premiered at the Royal Festival Hall in May 1974, with Malcolm Arnold conducting. It was commissioned by the New Philharmonia Orchestra.
